Shrtcut for macOS

License

Vegawear LTD grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Shrtcut on Mac computers you own or control, for personal or internal use. You may not redistribute, reverse engineer, or misrepresent the software as your own, except as allowed by applicable law.

If you obtained Shrtcut through the Mac App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies, and prevails over these terms wherever the two conflict. Apple is not a party to these terms, has no obligation to furnish support for the app, and is not responsible for addressing any claim you may have relating to it.

What the app does

• Shrtcut runs on your Mac and stores preferences locally (macOS UserDefaults).
• It requests Accessibility permission so it can register global shortcuts, list and raise other apps’ windows, move Spaces, and send keystrokes when you choose an action.
• Saved passwords are stored in the macOS Keychain and are only used when you pick them from Shrtcut’s password ring.
• Shrtcut does not require an account. Its only network activity is checking your licence key with Lemon Squeezy; it does not sync or upload your data. See the privacy policy for exactly what that check sends.

Trial, licence and devices

Shrtcut is free to download, and the App Switcher works on its default shortcut free and without a licence, for as long as you like. The other rings and the ability to change any shortcut need a Shrtcut Plus licence.

Shrtcut Plus lists at US$29.99 per year and includes a 3-day free trial. Starting the trial requires payment details, and it converts to a paid annual subscription unless you cancel before it ends; the subscription then renews annually until cancelled. A promotional discount may reduce that price — the amount shown at checkout before you pay is what you will be charged. Cancelling at any time stops future renewals, and the App Switcher keeps working either way.

One licence key may be activated on up to two Macs that you own or control. Shrtcut confirms this by checking your key with Lemon Squeezy when you activate it, and at most once every seven days afterwards. If a check cannot reach the server the app keeps working; only an explicit refusal from the licence server ends access, and a 30-day grace period applies even then. The privacy policy sets out exactly what those checks send.

Do not share, resell or publish your licence key. Keys used beyond the two-Mac limit, or distributed publicly, may be deactivated.

Payment and refunds

Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for Shrtcut. Purchases are completed on their checkout, they handle payment processing and any applicable sales tax or VAT, and they appear on your statement. Shrtcut never sees, handles or stores card details.

Because Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record, refunds are handled under their policy and can be requested through them. Their terms are at lemonsqueezy.com/buyer-terms. The 3-day trial exists so you can confirm Shrtcut works on your Mac before paying anything, and the App Switcher stays free afterwards either way. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for granting or denying system permissions, for the passwords and shortcuts you save, and for using Shrtcut in a way that complies with the law and with the terms of any apps or services you interact with. Do not use Shrtcut to circumvent security controls you are not authorized to bypass.

Distribution

The build offered on this site is distributed directly by Vegawear LTD, signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarised by Apple. It is the complete app. A Mac App Store edition would have to run in Apple’s App Sandbox, which prevents an app from reading or raising another app’s windows, moving Spaces, or posting keystrokes — so window switching, per-app shortcuts and password fill are not available under those rules. Availability, pricing, and updates may change over time.

No warranty

Shrtcut is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation on every macOS version or configuration.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Shrtcut, including lost data, lost passwords, or inability to switch windows. Your sole remedy is to stop using the app and delete it.

What Shrtcut stores, and the one thing it sends, are described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The current version will be published at this address with a revised date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
